Tonight sees the opening night of the Walled City Music Festival. Held over three days, this year; like so many other things the festival will be streamed to audiences online. The festival brings a range of outstanding classical music with a world class line-up of free concerts, workshops and podcasts.

Walled City Music is the leading promoter of classical, contemporary and choral music in the North West. As well as the current festival Walled City Music is responsible for a year round programme of events including Walled City Music Festival, International Piano Festival as well as many one off events with local, national and international musicians and ensembles.

Walled City Music was founded as Walled City Music Festival in 2008 by it’s artistic directors Dr. Cathal Breslin and Dr. Sabrina Hu, with the aim of bringing outstanding classical music to the heart of classical life in the city.

As part of the festival this year many of the performances will appear on the festival’s YouTube channel. There is also a podcast featuring many of the festival’s performers. The Festival’s first concert commences at 8.00 tonight.
